Virus that can Bypass Microsoft Security Revealed
The computer software industry in general and the virus protection sector in particular are reported to be in a state of shock over recent reports that a virus has been discovered that has succeeded in by-passing most of the leading spam blockers as well as other security precautions.
In the last few days, security experts have pin-pointed a flaw in Windows XP and the recently launched Seven series of operating systems that has been breached. The breach allows the potential bypass of a feature that most of the "so called" leading internet security software use to check for and remove potential malicious code before it's able to execute.
Seemingly some fairly sophisticated computer hackers have succeeded in infiltrating a piece of trojan horse software to a large amount of computers that is capable of launching what experts call an "argument-switch attack," An argument switch will allow a computer hacker to swap out innocent code for malicious code, and do so instantaneously and without fear of being traced.
Many of the industry's leading antivirus companies have downplayed the threat, that this latest development of trojan horses can provide, as they will be very difficult to trace. Opinions are shared that the attack will be difficult to mount on a wide scale basis, and that it would be unlikely to become a viable widespread attack scenario, requiring some level of existing access to the target computer. The software would be required to bypass the security software that is in place in order to allow malware to be activated in the future.
Leading researchers at the leading antivirus companies, with McAfee being among the most prominent, have long expressed their fears that Window's software will find it very difficult to overcome argument-switch software once it has been installed. The only barrier to prevent hackers from planting this form of potentially highly damaging malware, is to install the most powerful and sophisticated anti-virus software available.
No matter the source, malicious software is a challenge that the internet user will require to face in the future, and at increasing levels of intensity , with the average web surfer finding it difficult to define who to trust online. They need to place their faith in the professionals, who develop cutting edge anti-virus software that will provide the ultimate in protection from every form of computer virus. Before it is too late.
