Microsoft IE Is Still Under Attack
It has been often said that the only way to detect if you have an infected computer is to be vigilant. You can never really trust any software manufacturer such as Microsoft to keep your computer free from viruses, and if truth be told, most of the anti- virus programmes on the market. To be fair, Microsoft does provide a free Malicious Software Removal Tool bundled in their software, with the tool, which can be downloaded from both Microsoft Update and Windows Update, being updated monthly. As has been their tradition for many years now, these updates run in the background of subscriber's computers on the second Tuesday of each month. Reports to Microsoft and the computer owner whenever it detects and removes an infection. In addition Microsoft advice computer owners to immediately download and run the Malicious Software Removal Tool utility if they notice a sudden change in your PC's behavior.
Within the last years the number of attacks against Internet Explorer' s many security flaws, especially in the earlier versions, have prompted Microsoft to break some of their traditions and publish unscheduled patches to seal up breaches in the security that had gone unnoticed, with some of them having been around for years.
It has been said that whenever Microsoft bring out on new version of IE it has been cleaned up so that the security breaches that occurred with previous versions have been eradicated. However the newer versions, at least till now seem to provide fewer opportunities for hackers to have a go at attacking what still remains the World's most popular operating system.
Microsoft' newest version of Internet Explorer, the IE 8 has been found to be more capable of withstanding virus attacks, certainly more than the particularly problematic IE 6 version as well as the IE7. It certainly doesn't mean that a computer owner, and especially one who surfs the web on a regular basis, should become complacent about their security.
Instead they should take the initiative to protect their personal information from malicious spam software as well as their security from attacks from malware and botnets, These are software programs in all sense of the word whose roll it is to cause problems for innocent people who simply want to enjoy the tremendous advantages that living in the internet age brings us.
By installing a powerful anti-virus program you will be able to protect yourself from cyber criminals who prey on all that is good and positive on the internet.
