Big is not as Beautiful as Google Fall Increasing Victim to Hacker Attacks
Recent indications are that as a result of the increasing spread of influence of search engine giant Google on the internet, hackers are pulling out very possible stop to attack web surfers. Sources have it that as a result of the scale of Google's activities they are becoming proportionately more vulnerable to attack from a variety of directions and in different forms
Internet securities experts state that a recent wave of attacks from fictional companies offering fake antivirus software have been an increasingly ongoing problem for internet users. The software has been found, without exception, to contain Trojan horses and malware.
As the rewards grow to hackers for successfully penetrating a computer's defences then the methods that they use are also becoming highly developed, For example, the hackers behind planting fake ant-virus software play upon the fear and the inexperience of web browsers. They make their product seem like the real thing, by promoting it through Google using increasingly sophisticated search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to increase the ranking of their scam websites, offering a "trial" version free of charge. All that is needed is someone to download the spam software and all the effort will have been worthwhile, as the victim's computer will now be in the hands of the hackers. They can use it to their means, to attack the owner's identity as well as those who have contact with them. The unsuspecting victim's computer r could also be set up to become part of a botnet network, and could be used to launch a simultaneous viral of attack on tens of thousands of computers throughout the world.
As Google develops and more people use and trust them for their web searches, then the more hackers will continue their attempts to corrupt search results, using what appears to be a specially developed infrastructure, capable of accumulating and analysing the latest and most widely used search engine trends.
While Google are obviously well aware of their responsibilities of keeping their search engine and other products as free of virus infiltration as possible, ultimately it remains the responsibility of the computer owner to protect themselves from hackers, with the only means of protection is to install the most powerful and sophisticated anti-virus protection available on the market. No one should have to discover the financial damage and tremendous inconvenience that can be caused by virus invasion.
